Yoann Debras, France
Allen Ray Smith, USA

Patrick Macazaga is a renowned basketball coach, having started his career in France in Roanne in Pro B. His career then took him to Switzerland, where he took the reins of several National League A clubs, particularly distinguishing himself at Vevey Riviera for several years. Recognized for his technical expertise and his ability to develop the potential of players, Patrick has left an indelible mark on each team he has coached.

At the heart of the youth teams of BBC Monthey for years, Dominik Mastelic has orchestrated the triumph of his U14 team, securing the Swiss national championship title last year. His expertise and dedication have not gone unnoticed; he was recently incorporated into the coaching staff of the Swiss national U16 team. The first-league team of BBC Monthey has also been under his direction since this season.

Since 2008, Yoann Debras has contributed to the success of the Antibes Sharks, occupying various roles ranging from assistant coach to performance manager, including physical trainer. He also does individual work out of season with renowned players like Mustapha Fall and Thimothée Luwawu. Yoann’s varied experience within and outside the club promises to bring added value to our camp, ensuring a high-performance approach for the benefit of our athletes.

Born in Fort Ord, California, Allen Ray Smith shone on the German courts as a professional player. Today, he has established himself as the assistant coach of the Artland Dragons in the German second division. His passion goes beyond team coaching; he takes the helm in training the club’s young talents and coaches professional players in individual coaching sessions outside the regular season. Shooting and ball handling are his specialties.

TYPES OF TRAINING

Shooting

Focused primarily on shooting mechanics, participants practice various forms of shooting: stationary, on the move, under pressure, and from different distances. Workshops for correcting and improving posture are also included.

skills

Emphasis is placed on all the fundamental basketball skills: dribbling, passing, catching, pivoting, etc. Through a series of dynamic drills and practical exercises, players refine and develop their technical abilities.

PHYSICAL

Focused on basketball-specific physical conditioning, the training encompasses muscle strengthening exercises, cardio, and endurance work. It aims to improve players’ resistance on the court, increase their speed, and optimize their power.

INTENSITY

Designed to simulate the pressure of a real game. With a sustained pace, participants are pushed to their limits through high-intensity exercises, time-limited game situations, and competitive challenges.

COORDINATION

Dedicated to improving motor coordination, the training combines basketball exercises with global coordination drills, such as ladders, cones, and synchronized movements, to enhance gesture synchronization on the court.

yoga

Combines the principles of yoga with the specific needs of basketball players. It focuses on flexibility, strengthening deep muscles, breathing, and relaxation, offering players a moment of active recovery and mental focus.
